In the nearly 25 years that we have worked together, we have built with pride and accomplished company. Our extensive experience spans both event catering and public catering - from the cup of coffee for the visitor to exhibition openings and Corporate Events.
In 2002, we founded MuseumCatering, a catering company specialising in managing museum restaurants and offering party catering in a museum environment. This party catering expertise expanded throughout the years to include conference and event venues. Therefore, we developed a second label named CateringMeesters.
We are now the standard caterer for the Kunstmuseum Den Haag, Museon, Escher in the Palace, Panorama Mesdag and Pulchri Studio. We are happy to ensure that you have an unforgettable culinary experience.

After secondary school and the military draft, he followed higher professional education at Inter College Business School where he focused on Event Organisation, Hospitality and Marketing.
His practical experience included the Martinair Party Service where he worked during the Floriade in Zoetermeer. He then worked at Taat & de Regt Catering and at Verhaaf Party Catering for five years. During this time, major events were planned such as the Heineken Open, the Dutch Open Polo, Libelle Zomerweek, The Home and Garden Fair and the Hiswa te water. After working at Hotels van Oranje for a time, he was asked to supervise the start-up of the Amsterdam Convention Factory. In 2001, he had the opportunity to start an exploitation at Paleis Lange Voorhout in The Hague as a service for the visitors to the permanent MC Escher exhibit. Following this, Museum Catering was established.
After senior secondary hotel management school in Amsterdam, Louis worked at Verhaaf Party Catering for eleven years. As Party Manager, he was in charge of various parties and State receptions at the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and Castle Muiderslot. He was promoted to Head of Operations and became a member of the hospitality management team at the RAI group. This lead to the start-up of the Amsterdam Arena.
In 1998, he became co-owner of JMW Horeca Temp Agency. This agency was about to undergo a major expansion. In the following five years, JMW expanded from one location to become a national agency with 10 locations and a head office. In July 2002, the temp agency was sold to Randstad Holding. After that, he worked as an interim manager/advisor to a number of hospitality companies. Louis has been a co-owner of Museum Catering since January 2005.

CateringMeesters is affiliated with ONCE, the Official Network for Catering Events: an overarching organisation that represents and supports the party and event catering industry. It is an exclusive platform for party and event caterers that stand out in safety, quality, authenticity, HACCP certification and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
CateringMeesters supports various charities. For example, we are partners with the Dutch Cancer Society KWF and in doing so, we help achieve the KWF’s goal: less cancer, more healing and better quality of life for patients.
We support the Juliana Children’s Hospital with the stuffed toys campaign for the children and regularly hire employees through GGZ Rivierduinen.
Furthermore, we have a hospitality intern working for us year-round through the Bernardusschool in The Hague. The Bernardusschool is a special education school. The students that are taught here have a severe learning disability. The school’s goal is to develop the talents of these special students as much as possible.
